    Special Description

    Proximal Step-Design

Increases coating surface area to block debris, reducing postoperative loosening.

Stair-step and secondary compressive trabecular alignment effectively prevents femoral stem subsidence.

    Wolff's Law Alignment

The pattern of load transmitting follows Wolff's Law, optimizing stress distribution and bone remodeling stimulation.

    Three Coating Options

    1. Ti (Air Plasma Sprayed)

    2. Ti (Vacuum Plasma Sprayed)

    3. Ti+HA (Vacuum Plasma Sprayed)

    • Porosity: 70%
    • Ti coating thickness: 325 um, HA coating thickness: 50 um
    • Increase friction with cortical bone for immediate stability
    • Good biocompatibility effectively promotes bone growth

    Optimized Head-Neck Ratio

    Significantly increases range of motion:

    • 28mm head → increase 12°
    • 32mm head → increase 20°

    High Offset Design

Proportional neck length and offset design effectively increase range of motion and joint stability.

    FAQ
    1. Which patients is this hip implant suitable for?
    (1) Patients with Low Soft Tissue Tension: Ideal for individuals with reduced peri-hip soft tissue tension, such as frail elderly female patients.
    (2) Extensive Soft Tissue Release Cases: Beneficial for surgeries that involve wide soft tissue release. In these cases, postoperative soft tissue laxity can predispose to dislocation, and adjustments via the femoral head alone may be insufficient.
    (3) Post-Coxa Vara Correction: In patients undergoing correction of coxa vara, a standard (132° neck-shaft angle) femoral stem might cause limb lengthening; the Harmony design minimizes this risk.
    (4) Complex Femoral Anatomy: For patients with trumpet-shaped or champagne cup–shaped femurs, achieving an optimal proximal press-fit may require upsizing the implant, which can lead to limb lengthening—our design helps to balance this challenge.
    (5) Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH): Especially useful in cases with a shallow, small acetabular cavity, where deeper reaming and precise femoral head centralization are necessary.
    (6) Femoral Dysplasia: Suitable for patients with a narrow medullary canal and a relatively long femoral neck.
    (7) Post-Pelvic Osteotomy Cases: Advantageous for patients with medial displacement of the acetabular rotation center following procedures like pelvic osteotomy.
    2. Can patients undergo MRI scans after implantation?

Yes, the implant is made from non-magnetic materials like titanium, titanium alloys, and cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloys, ensuring MRI safety. JUST MEDICAL's products meet these standards, but always inform your radiologist before scanning.

    3. Does this product support cemented or cementless fixation?

It is designed exclusively for cementless fixation. It promotes excellent long-term bone growth for stable and durable fixation, eliminating the need for bone cement.

    4. What coating options are available for the HARMONY™ Stem?

The HARMONY™ Stem offers three coating options: Ti (Air Plasma Sprayed), Ti (Vacuum Plasma Sprayed), and Ti+HA (Vacuum Plasma Sprayed) with a porosity of 70% to optimize bone growth and stability.

    5. How does the proximal step-design prevent femoral stem subsidence?

The stair-step design and secondary compressive trabecular alignment distribute load effectively, following Wolff's Law. This increases the contact surface area and biomechanically blocks stem subsidence.

    6. How does the optimized head-neck ratio benefit the patient?

By optimizing the head-neck ratio, the range of motion is significantly increased. A 28mm head increases the range of motion by 12°, while a 32mm head increases it by 20°.
