    Special Description

    Proximal Step-Design
    • Increases coating surface area to block debris, reducing postoperative loosening.
    • Stair-step and secondary compressive trabecular alignment.
    • Effectively prevents femoral stem subsidence.
    HARMONYHARMONY (2)
    Wolff's Law Alignment

The pattern of load transmitting precisely follows Wolff's Law to promote optimal bone remodeling and long-term stability.

    HARMONY (3)
    Three Coating Options
    1. Ti (Air Plasma Sprayed)
    2. Ti (Vacuum Plasma Sprayed)
    3. Ti+HA (Vacuum Plasma Sprayed)
    • Porosity: 70%
    • Ti coating thickness: 325 um, HA coating thickness: 50 um
    • Increase friction with cortical bone for immediate stability.
    • Good biocompatibility effectively promotes bone growth.
    HARMONY (4)
    Optimized Head-Neck Ratio

    Significantly increases range of motion:

    • 28mm head → increase 12°
    • 32mm head → increase 20°
    HARMONY (7)
    High Offset Design

Proportional neck length and offset design effectively increase range of motion, restoring natural joint biomechanics.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. Which patients is this hip implant suitable for?
    • Patients with Low Soft Tissue Tension: Ideal for individuals with reduced peri-hip soft tissue tension, such as frail elderly female patients.
    • Extensive Soft Tissue Release Cases: Beneficial for surgeries that involve wide soft tissue release. In these cases, postoperative soft tissue laxity can predispose to dislocation, and adjustments via the femoral head alone may be insufficient (especially when using ceramic heads).
    • Post-Coxa Vara Correction: In patients undergoing correction of coxa vara, a standard (132° neck-shaft angle) femoral stem might cause limb lengthening; the Harmony design minimizes this risk.
    • Complex Femoral Anatomy: For patients with trumpet-shaped or champagne cup–shaped femurs, achieving an optimal proximal press-fit may require upsizing the implant, which can lead to limb lengthening—our design helps to balance this challenge.
    • Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH): Especially useful in cases with a shallow, small acetabular cavity, where deeper reaming and precise femoral head centralization are necessary.
    • Femoral Dysplasia: Suitable for patients with a narrow medullary canal and a relatively long femoral neck.
    • Post-Pelvic Osteotomy Cases: Advantageous for patients with medial displacement of the acetabular rotation center following procedures like pelvic osteotomy.
    2. Can patients undergo MRI scans after implantation?

Yes, the implant is made from non-magnetic materials like titanium, titanium alloys, and cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloys, ensuring MRI safety. JUST MEDICAL's products meet these standards, but always inform your radiologist before scanning.

    3. Does this product support cemented or cementless fixation?

This product is designed exclusively for cementless fixation. It promotes excellent long-term bone growth for stable and durable fixation, eliminating the need for bone cement.

    4. What are the thickness and porosity specifications of the coatings?

The coating options feature a porosity of 70%. The Titanium (Ti) coating has a thickness of 325 um, and the Hydroxyapatite (HA) coating has a thickness of 50 um.

    5. How does the optimized head-neck ratio benefit range of motion?

The optimized head-neck ratio significantly increases the range of motion (ROM). Specifically, using a 28mm head increases the ROM by 12°, while a 32mm head increases it by 20°.

    6. What materials are used in the HARMONY™ Stem?

The HARMONY™ Stem is manufactured from high-strength Ti6Al4V titanium alloy, which offers excellent biocompatibility and mechanical properties for orthopedic implants.
